We rented the ground level of the house at 825 North Street in Ocean City, NJ for one week. Upon arrival to the home we were hit with overwhelming odor of unidentified chemicals and mold. We immediately opened all windows, doors and turned on fans in AC window units in all bedrooms. The smell never went away. Half way through the week a laundry room cabinet fell off the wall in the middle of the night exposing black mold. Don't rent from this agency without seeing the property in person. The pictures don't show the filthy mold and how old and run down the beds and bedspreads are; lack of clean cookware; dirty bathrooms, etc. The odor of mold was overwhelming. There was water leaking from the washer & had to be replaced along with the dryer. The 'cleaners' apparently never went to this property. A beachfront property should have been an enjoyable vacation. Instead we had to deal with issue after issue. Not a fan....
Review from viewpoint of a homeowner in OCNJ: we use Fox for our seasonal rentals and have been very pleased. A special above & beyond shoutout to their agent, Andrew R., who is extremely responsive and incredibly helpful. His support alone makes our partnership successful! Other agencies (I won’t name) have not provided the same level of service. We are so grateful!
Do not rent from these crooks! We rented July 4th week 2024 and the property was not as advertised. The dishwasher didn’t work, the outdoor shower was in disrepair and didn’t work for half the time we were there, the main bedroom was advertised as having a queen bed but it was a full, the toilet paper holder was off the wall, and very few if any of the windows locked.
