I am a regular and this would have been a better review based solely on the ice cream. However when I came inside about an hour ago it wasn't at all busy. I ordered a pre-made quart of vanilla ice cream which is $7 and gave the young man behind the counter a $10 bill. He seemed to assume he could keep the change, $3. So I told him to just give me $2 back and keep $1. He seemed perturbed, handed me the $2 and walked away, never responding to my thanks and saying nothing. I have been going to Four Seas since I was a little girl. My dad also went there as child. Love love love their ice cream and sherbet. My favorite cranberry sherbet hot fudge sundae. I remember getting the tuna fish sandwiches there as a kid.

Granted it is early in the season, but your staff should know what portions go in what cups and where everything is before turning them loose to rabid summer crowds. Additionally, it is highway robbery to charge $4.50 for a single scoop of ice cream when your competitors are offering double that. At this point, you are surviving on your reputation which will continue to suffer if you don't drop your prices and improve your quality. I will not return to this establishment after being a customer for over 20 years.

THE BEST!!! And they remember my favorites!!! I've been stopping by for over 50 years (on my route to/from the beach) and all staff and owners enjoy their customers. Experimental flavors are always fun to try. Just picked up Honey JK Whiskey. Thanks, Doug, for finding the extra Creme Brule in the back of the freezer!!!
