Great place to stay in the heart of Houston! Very nice rooms!
I experienced an issue with the water being cold for the first two days of my stay, which was definitely frustrating. However, I want to recognize Joshua at the front desk for turning things around. As soon as I brought it to his attention, he took it seriously and worked quickly to get it resolved. He kept me updated, was professional and understanding, and made sure the issue was fully fixed. Okay guys, I normally don't leave reviews for my Marriott stays but here goes. Checking into the hotel was quick and easy. This location is under new management and the new manager Johnathan is very nice and super friendly. He cares about his guests. Hopefully, with new team members this place can do a turnaround. This review is not towards any of the new staff. This review is directly aimed at the hotel's condition and location.
I don’t know what’s wrong with this building but it smells like mold, mildew, cigarettes and cleaner. The room irritated my nose and sinuses so bad I could not sleep and left early the next next day to find a new hotel.
I regret I really had high hopes when I checked into the hotel. The lobby is really nice and the room was nice and clean. The bed was comfy too. However, I had no soap in the shower. I had to ask for soap 4 different times over 2 days. The A/C unit was also loud when it kicked on and off. The final day I woke up to no power, no water pressure, no emergency lighting in the hallway, or the stairwells.
