anyone who was there in the early 90s like me know four oaks true colors. they made sport of physical restraints especially carol and gary kalos. i was there for 3 years and they didnt even try to find me an adoptive home till they were pushed by the courts. they left kids in the control rooms for hours not even letting them use the restroom forcing them to use the floor or in their pants and they werent even out of control in the first place. some of the staff were abusive. i got one guy fired for abusing me. i told other s... read more
i went there a while ago and i hated it there
They’re known to keep kids in custody beyond the original court orders for PROFIT, while threatening advocates (their own staff) for going to bat for the kids.
I enjoy working at four oaks I love working with the kids and my coworkers are the best.
So, i was there when i was 15-17, and all but one or two staff treated me with infinite respect and kindness. They pushed me to be better then i was, and they were successful
I was her when I was 10 year old and I loved it and it did a lot for me and helped me out alot
