No complaints here! – This is a review of 4 G's SOUTH in Littleton. While I cannot speak for the other locations, I have been coming to this restaurant for years and think it is an all around great restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices, great service (we always sit with Robert!) very clean, and good atmosphere. what happened here? – Its weird, we drove by and I said "wow there is 4 g's, that place was great when I was there a couple years ago." Unfortunately, not everything gets better with age. Now, I know we all have had bad experiences at some points, when we visit restaurants. Rarely does everything go bad at the same visit, but it did. Right from walking in the building, we couldn't get seated, to the chips, to the service, to the length of time to get the food, to the time to get the check. Too many good mexican places to go here – I live right by this place and was hoping for a hole in the wall neighborhood restaurant to frequent. I have been several times and the food is consistently bad. I will drive the drive for better mexican (I am a mexican food junkie!)
The Mariachi Band Makes It – Tried the new Aurora 4 G's on South Havana Street. Service was slow and unforgettable. Had to remind the waiter that we would like chips and salsa, which was never offered. Asked if there was a kids menu, none offered. Asked for a couple of margarita's, to which our waiter responded, "What time is it?" I knew where he was going with this and I assured him it was before seven and yes it is still happy hour. The Real Deal – If your idea of good mexican food is Chili's or Colorado Hacienda, then 4G's is NOT for you. If you are looking for the most authentic Mexican food in the state, this is it. My wife and I grew up less than 1 hour from the Mexican border and have spent countless days and weeks in Mexico. We know the real deal when we see it and this is it.
