My son flew out to ride the local trails, and rented a mountain bike from MMC. This is the second time renting from them, and they are courteous, fast and efficient. The only thing that might cause an issue, is that they are Closed on Sundays, so you'd need to plan to return a weekend rental on Saturday, or Monday.
I want to start with a huge thank you!!!! I am fairly new again to cycling. I'm riding my first time on tubeless tires. I rode from south Scottsdale into Fountain Hills and my tire got a hole. I hobbled to McDowell Mountain Cycles and fixed it right up. Better yet, they told me how to handle tubeless tires and told me to call if I had any issues getting home. 100 stars for sure!
My family and our 4 month old daughter were hiking in McDowell Mountain when her stroller tires picked up some cactus needles. Her tires were shredded. We were on a cross country trip and this had to be fixed if we were going to use the stroller again. Luckily, her tires were similar to small bike tires. So we went to the bike shop, explained our predicament and they fixed her stroller tires immediately. They replaced the tubes in all three tires and got us going again. Rental bike was in extremely poor condition .
I've rented EMTBs here twice now. Each time has been a great experience. New, well-maintained bikes; great trails in the area; the friendliest and most accomodating staff. Special thanks to Jamie and her husband for letting us get the most out of our day and offering us a beer after!
