My party’s waiter was super nice and his service was great. However, my friends and I did not have a pleasant experience overall due to the way a manager treated us at the end of our meal. We were in outdoor seating, in a back corner of the seating area. We ordered the Fish and chips. The Fish was totally tasteless and not fresh, and the fries were mushy and a bit cold. The service was ok but not good. Very disappointed by the quality of the food.
They hid a 12% kitchen fee AND a 3% kitchen service fee in the subtotal of the bill. Not sure what the difference between these two is. I didn't see any warning of this on the menu or from the server. Pretty sneaky to hide it with the menu items, because we didn't notice and tipped the normal amount based on the subtotal. Ended up being a really expensive meal. I'm not against kitchen fees but this was pretty slimy.
Stopped here for dinner on Friday night. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. Grilled cheese and soup was solid as well.
