I love a small Texas town. But a historical restaurant with excellent food located on the town square? Heaven! Soups are homemade and delicious. When I couldn't decide on soup or sandwich the waitress let me know I could do a little of both! Food came out fast and service was attentive. Definitely worth going out of the way for!
Definitely felt like we stepped into 1800s because the whole building was very hot. That’s not even my complaint though. What led me to this review is the service as it was the worse my family has ever experienced. Not only did the waitress get the order on drinks wrong she decided to never come back to our table. She frequently went back to another table which was already tended to by another waitress. We waited 40 minutes to order and finally left out the back door. Food was good but not great. Kind of high prices but very interesting old building. Service was friendly but not terribly attentive.
Love the atmosphere and history. The service was good. The food was OK. Why put black olives on a muffaletta?
