Everything about owning a Fortier 33 and having the GETAWAY maintained in Somerset has been beyond satisfying. She’s a piece of local history, and we are lucky to own her.
I had a Fortier 26 built in 1982 because I didn't want to wait 2 yrs for a 33. I loved the 26 for 32 yrs and then a 1982 33 came available to me. I now have a 1982 Fortier 33 (single engine, fly bridge,) that we love BUT I miss the 26 . These are the best boats anyone could ever own !!!!
We have owned 3 Fortiers a 26, 30 and now a 33'. They have been outstanding boats. In all cases we moved up for more space for overnight and multi day trips. The 33 with IPS is a great handling vessel and provides a big platform for fishing. "SALT" will be with us for many years. Thank you Rod and crew. Barbara and Doug Barrett
