Went skating at Fort William Gardens last weekend after hearing good things, and the ice was honestly in great shape for a Saturday afternoon crowd. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and even helped me figure out the quickest way to the parking lot around back since the main lot fills up fast. There's a nice old school arena atmosphere to the place, kind of nostalgic with the wooden seating and local hockey vibe you don't really get anywhere else in Thunder Bay. Took the kids to a game at Fort William Gardens last weekend and it was a great low-key outing for an afternoon. Parking right by the entrance made it easy with two little ones in tow, which honestly made the whole trip less stressful. The staff at the concession stand were patient with my son taking forever to decide on a hot dog, and they even gave him a little wink about it. It has that classic small town arena feel, loud and friendly, and we will definitely be back for another game soon.
