Fort Wayne friends... massively huge shout out for Dr. Ian Nelson , Shelly Miller, and the FWO OrthoStat Team. My 13 yr old daughter Kate felt a pop and tear in her hip during dance practice last night. Mom took her to the SW OrthoStat at 6:30. They were in a room and seen within 10 minutes and then diagnosis of hip avulsion fracture within another 15 minutes. I had a complete anterior hip replacement done at the age of 38. I suffered for several years of unbearable pain. This was the best decision I ever made. I found a great Dr at FWO. I had my surgery done at 9am and went home later that evening. I used a walker for a week, then a cane for a week. Week 3 I was walking with no assistance. 6 weeks later I went on vacation to South Carolina walking on the beach in the sand. The Dr, nurses, and staff were all great!
Got my wife diagnosed quickly. In and out In good time.
As always, I was treated with respect and given the best medical care! FWO is the place to go for treatment of orthopedic injuries/conditions.
My daughter woke up this morning unable to walk on her foot due to a volleyball injury the night before. We were at the stat care at Dupont hospital and all I can say is WOW!! We got right in, X-rays, and answers at lightening speed. I was very impressed with the care!!
