While it's a major transfer station for WMATA, the station is not in the best shape overall. It is plagued by roof leaks when it rains, and has a huge problem with pigeons and pigeon droppings. As an mostly outdoor station it can be very hot or very cold depending on the season. Paid parking is available on-site but it is a bit of a walk from the platform. This is also a major bus transfer station.
