Established in 2007, Fort George Brewery and Public House is housed in a 1924 automotive warehouse. It is among the biggest breweries in the state. Due to its popularity, it soon expanded into the nearby Lovell building. Their brew is available only in selected states, so if you are in town, don't miss to visit this affable, family-friendly brew-house. Drove from Portland to have lunch and beers at one of my favorite breweries only to find out I would not be able to because they are only taking reservations and the next available one was three hours later. What a disappointment. The brewery was not busy and there was plenty of seating throughout even with covid guild-lines. First brewery in Oregon that I have had an issue with and I go to many throughout Oregon. completely accommodating even though take out hours were over. And the Captain Ron's Pineapple Wheat beer was delicious! if you're coming to Astoria put this on your hit list!
Wonderful experience! Stopped in on the 4th without a reservation and the lovely hostess was so nice to accommodate us with very little wait. Our server and food runner were both completely pleasant and professional. All 3 checked back on us to see how we were doing. After I left I thought I had left my prescription glasses and called to find out if they were there. I was insistent they were there and John the manager did everything to find them.
