Make your own bread and pastries. Yes it is more work but people like it when it is actually fresh and not fresh from the freezer.
Seem to pop up a closed sign whenever they feel like closing for the day. Hrs are advertised 8-6, we stopped one day at 3 & another at 2pm & they were closed . Even called to ck hrs.
Am Sonntag den 16.09.2018 extra einen größeren Umweg gefahren um die Bakery zu besuchen. Laut Internet geöffnet, als wir ankamen nur „Sorry, closed“ an der Tür! Sehr enttäuschend!
We have been two times there. At both times it was closed. Only a sign sorry we are closed although they told in the window that the bakery is open until 3 pm.
On our way to Zion we stopped at the bakery, but what turned out later was that some of the rolls must have been either re-heated or from yesterday. Pumpkin roll went straight into the bin... Not good. Cheese cake seems to be out of the freezer.
Not very " German " ............... don't stop there. Keep going, better places to eat, ANYWHERE !!!
We just had the brötchen but they are the best we’ve had outside of Germany itself! A little bit of heaven in the middle of nowhere.
We stopped by on our way to Zion. We did not have lunch (too early) but I walked away with two loaves of bread and a „bee sting“ = Bienenstich. We had some of the crusty baguette for lunch later. I prepared it as sandwich with Harvati cheese, sliced tomato on top, some salt / pepper and chopped green onions. IT WAS JUST DELICIOUS. If I come by the store again, I buy there again.
