I have been going to see Dr. Hakim, since some time in around 1990! Because of vagaries of my insurance plans and my personal moves, there have been a couple of years along the way where I’ve gone to other dentists for a short time, but I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to come back to Dr. Hakim,‘s practice. He has been a fabulous dentist. His work is careful and exacting. He balances relieving pain in his procedures with being careful not to use too much pain relief. Dr Hakim was one of the brightest and most skillful students I had the pleasure of teaching in my 11 years as a clinical professor at UOP Dental school. More importantly, he cared about his patients, and always strived to do his best for each and every one of them.
Have no knowledge on dental insurance. I got to pay unncessarily more than 1200$ for just cleaning and filling which are mostly covered by insurance. And, because of such practices Americans healthcare has become so expensive. This review is not about the doctor and just about the office. Here is my story. Before visiting the doctor I have called the office to check they my insurance is covered giving the full plan details etc. And, they said YES.
