We really wanted to like it. Caesar salad so small and no protein option. We waited 80 minutes for dinner to be served. Tables near us came and went in the time we waited. Food not worth waiting for. Room we were seated was so noisy - old house needs better sound quality. Decor and ambiance very nice. House manager comped all drinks which was a good recovery for our experience there.
Ordered as soon as we sat down for brunch. The Bloody Mary was not good. (Two of our neighboring tables sent theirs back but I didn’t want to complain) But it got worse. Waited an hour and never got out food. I tried to flag down our server multiple times and he ignored us. I had to go wait on him in the hallway to close my tab, I had to go for prior engagements. This is my second time at this restaurant however it takes forever to get served. Expect at least a hour wait for your food and expect a cold entree. Wouldn’t recommend coming here for brunch or dinner considering what you’re paying for except if you just want to come and drink at the bar. Disappointed for sure. May be a cool atmosphere however not worth the time and cost. What a shame.
Barrel & Fork has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. The ambiance is spectacular, craft cocktails and whisky selection are among the best I’ve ever experienced. The food is excellent. Last but definitely not least, their service is impeccable. Last night Olivia was excellent, knowledgeable of the menu and extremely attentive and lovely overall.
Delicious food and drinks! Matthew was a consummate knowledgeable, funny, and helpful. There was a vent blowing on my leg the whole time that eventually got really cold, but hey, the hi-tops aren't where you go for top-tier seating. Can't stress enough how great of a server Matthew was!
