The person helping our table seemed pretty overwhelmed and annoyed by the busy evening. They didn’t check on us until really late, so we had to get up multiple times to find someone to ask for salt, red pepper flakes, a togo box and our check. The chicken Caesar salad was one of the worst I have ever had; hardly any dressing and way under-seasoned. The fried cheese curds were empty pockets of fried air. Such a weird experience. We had a reservation for 13 but 3 of didn’t come and thank goodness they didn’t, cause our seating barely fit 10. On top of that there was fresh bird poop on our table which means they didn’t bother to wipe down the table. After ordering about 20 dishes our waiter didn’t even write anything down and then made mistakes, food and drinks were wrong, the beer was served in plastic cups cause they “ran out of glasses” took them forever to get anything out. A family dinner. I wanted coal fired pizza, but apparently Tony's Neapolitano in SF is the only choice for that. So, living in the East Bay, I deferred to wood fired. First, starters means before entries, not after. While the brussel sprouts were good, the timing was bad. We ordered 2 Neapolitan pizzas. The pizza only has a 24 hour rise, so the flavor is bland when compared to what it should be, a 72 hour rise. There is nothing artisanal about 24 risen dough.
