We paid our first visit to Forester recently and had a great experience. The restaurant is just outside of Warren, PA. The menu is great with a wonderful variety of choices, it was almost hard to choose. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp Italiano and it was delicious. Surprised to see halibut on the menu and enjoyed it immensely. Salad was fresh and not a bowl of iceberg. Hats off to the chef! Be patient if you go, the service was slow. We waited for close to 5 minutes before being greeted, even just to ask if we had a reservation or were walk-ins.
“I really wish I could say this was a great experience, but management made sure it wasn’t. I ordered the streak gorgonzola a steak pasta dish and the steak was so overcooked and tough it couldn’t be eaten. I sent it back, & asked for a replacement — but nothing ever came, the waitress had to tell me that the chef/cook couldn’t prepare the steak any other way because of the cut.
