looks like they need maintenance
Horrible. This place is dirty. I thought I could fix it up and make it feel like "home" but with all of the roaches, trash outside, and lack of responsibility from maintenance I cannot wait till my lease is up. Gunshots in the middle of the day makes it hard to create a comfortable environment for my 3 year old. Poorly modeled apartments with little to no renovations. This place should be torn down. all im going to say is if u have to live there then u do i did and it was a rat hotel i mean all they need was a place to go the sad thing is they wouldn't do nothing hell i was afraid the were going to come in the apt they r so big i they look like cats don't do it
After reading the reviews I knew what I was getting myself into. I needed something asap so I went against my better judgment. This has been the absolute worst complex I've ever lived in. It's been 7 horrible months and yet to receive the draws to my refrigerator, screen door and whether strip for my front door. I've spoken to numerous individuals in the office and been patient. RUDE staff, old broken appliances, maintenance slow to respond to repairs .. DON'T RENT from them or any of Southwood Realty's apts!! OVERPRICED AND RUN DOWN!!
Tina Potter is supposedly the manager at the main south wood really office in Gastonia but apparently manages nothing. She allows her employees to treat people disrespectfully by allowing them to continually hang up on people who are looking for answers. She has yet to return any of my phone calls to address the misconduct of the employee at the property site and the employee at her office that is so incredibly disrespectful.
The new staff at this place is the worst that I have ever encountered! We have had so many problems with them that I will not attempt to name them all. When we first moved there in February 2012, the staff at the time was very pleasant and professional. If there were any problems they were taking care of immediately; however when new management took over, we couldn't get any of our needs addressed. I was not impressed with Lakeside Villa when it came to the business end.I was never told when I filled out the application and paid $49.00 for the application fee and $50.00 for security deposit if I was not approved for the apartment I would not get my application money back. I was never told verbally or in writing. Was visiting, I think it could be a nice place to live, however the buildings seem outdated needs to be painted and pressure washed also noticed a lot of kids in parking lot after rent office closed NOT GOOD! Someone could get hurt! (Curfew for kids would be nice and greatly appreciated) or a letter for parents! Forbidding parking lot play .more outside lighting is greatly need aswell saying that I hope the patrol is doing his job for safety purposes like I said.
