This place deserves no stars neither should be in existence. They lie in your face. If you have insurance you will get a bad attitude. They called me three times to make a check up appointment. i had an obnoxious doctor (dr Kaplan) who told me " why don't you pay for the visit?" After I asked them to do exactly what I came for not all. When I discussed prior to making my appointment what services would be covered by my insurance. The receptionists know nothing about how insurance works. They are rude and disrespectful.
This store is a scam!!! Here is my experience I wanted to buy my son, eye glasses, the store doesn't list any prices on purposes and as soon as they realized that I carry insurance they charged double the retail price for ex. They wanted $199 for a $89 Rayban (per Rayban official website) due to the fact that I carry insurance. And when I inquired about the reason, the sales rep was blunt and said that Vsp doesn't reimburse them the asking price and they are forced to do that... About a year ago my vision started getting blurry, and I started seeing double. So I went to my regular eye doctor, but he couldn't find anything. My friend goes to Forest Hills, and she suggested I try out her optometrist. I decided to get a second opinion, and it was lucky that I did. He found something on my eye that needed surgery, and he even showed it to me on the X-ray. Before long it was taken care of, and I haven't had a problem since.
