The apartment is clean and well kept. However, I highly regret moving here. They keep the heat to a bare minimum (obviously to save money). Multiple complaints and all they can say is "there is nothing we can do." Plus send a letter stating the law requires 70 degrees minimum. It feels like 60 and sometimes below. Feels as if I have the Air conditioner on. Why should I freeze in my apartment that I pay for and have to wear multiple layers of clothing? Sad. Greedy lanlord. DON'T RENT HERE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!
Its been almost a year at the Riverplace at Rahway and my stay has been really comfy ! Some advantages - a block from the train station, well designed floor plans, quality appliances and finish, well maintained common areas and garage. The staff is also prompt with cleaning up the place after a snow storm.
Wonderful property - lived here for years and now we have this beautiful clubhouse to use it makes it even a nicer place. I use the shuttle all the time to go shopping so don't even need a car.
This place is horrible. People taking place in indecent activitys in parking lot. There are roaches everywhere, even after fumigation.the smell of curry comes thru the walls. This place wont even supply you with a light bulb.
Just don't move in here. I have asthma and allergic rhinitis so I cannot live in the carpet floor apartment, but they first showed me a hardwood apartment and told me that I'll get the 100% same, but what I got was carpet. Now I have so many health issues, please don't move in!
The best part about this place is that the train to NYC is so close and only takes me 35 to 40 min to get to work. We have lived in a 1bdrm/1ba for over a year. The apartment itself is very large and the Kitchen is VERY big and boast a lot of cabinet space. The ceilings are high. The bathroom is also large for an apartment, as is the bedroom. Yes there was a lot of damage from hurricane sandy, but management tried to take care of the damage as quickly as they could, and they did post information about the elevators and the progress with them. They also had supers available several times a day to help with carrying stuff up the stairs.
We lived at River Place for 3 years and have loved every minute of it. The support staff is awesome - Jeff is always quick to respond to every query and is super friendly. Ramses and his maintenance crew do an amazing job. The building is 5 years old but doesnt seem so at all. Its so very well maintained. Its a very nice and safe community as well. Its a boon to be so close to the station. We will surely miss River Place!
This was a very comfortable home for us for about 7 months. Our experience with Riverplace at Rahway was excellent from the moment we made our first telephone enquiry right up to the time we had to say good-bye.
