I was diagnosed with MS in 1997 by Dr. Trevor Grey, at St Michael's Hospital MS Clinic. I went there for continued follow up for 7 yrs. When I saw Dr. Berger, he didn't even know how to do a eye exam in the right order nor how to check my Plantar. He kept asking me who referred me. I told him. He had a MRI of my brain done. When I returned he said I had alot of lesions on my brain but my spinal chord was fine. I didn't have a MRI of my spinal chord so I guess he's Psychic. I don’t know where to begin. I have never in my life seen a doctor with this level of incompetence, bias, and discrimination. It had been a full year since the last time I saw him. At my appointment, as soon as he came in—instead of asking about my condition or illness, or informing me about the results of the multiple MRI scans he had ordered, or discussing medications, etc.—the very first questions he asked were: • Have you seen your family doctor? • Did you like him? • Did you come here by bus or by taxi? • Is he waiting ... read more
The receptionist or secretary of Dr. Burger is unbelievably rude and unprofessional. She treats patients as if there is some kind of personal hostility between her and them. She never, ever answers phone calls, voicemails, or emails — for five whole months! Can you imagine? Then suddenly, out of nowhere, she sends me an email canceling my appointment and telling me that I have to pay a cancellation fee. She even gave me a new appointment but only mentioned the date without providing the time. No matter how many emails I send... read more
I needed to reschedule my appointment and asked well ahead of time and they wouldn’t let me. Now I am going without much needed medical care. Please consider having your family doctor refer you somewhere else <3
Dr. Berger is an exceptional neurologist who cared for my mom with such compassion and expertise. I will always be grateful for the kindness and patience he showed her throughout her journey. Now, as a patient myself, I feel confident knowing I’m in excellent hands. An incredible physician and neurologist.
