I like my Mazda overall, but one thing that really annoyed me was the key fob battery situation. Mazda charges you just to change the key battery, even though it’s something you can easily do yourself in a few minutes. If your key fob battery dies, just go on YouTube, search your Mazda model and year, and there are step-by-step videos showing exactly how to change it. No special tools, no dealership visit needed. Save yourself the time and money—don’t pay Mazda for something you can do at home for the cost of a battery.
