Ford Vox, M.D., is the medical director of the Disorders of Consciousness Program at Shepherd Center. He is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician with additional subspecialty board certification in brain injury medicine. He joined Shepherd Center's medical staff in 2012 as a staff physiatrist in the Brain Injury Program.

I was a patient at Shepherd Center in 2021 and received excellent care from Dr. Ford Vox, his team, and my therapy team there. I have an acquired brain injury, and there are many things I still cannot do. But, I give credit to God and his guidance over Dr. Vox and my team at Shepherd for all of the things I can do. As a lawyer who represents injured workers and at times, the families of deceased injured workers, it is nearly impossible to find a competent, compassionate and professional specialist who has the time and inclination to get involved in fighting for what is right. My husband was a patient at shepherds center from December through January and I have to say that Dr Vox his PA Jacob the hospital and staff were absolutely amazing they took such good care of my husband and our family they got us through some extremely difficult times the previous hospital he was in literally almost killed him and Dr Vox and his team got him back on track they care about their patients and their families they are kind thoughtful.
