I came during the off-season and with limited guests in the hotel. They are currently doing renovations and we were here for a convention that got moved down the street. The sounds of the waves are nice. The room I was in was recently upgraded. Beds are fine. Pillows are feather. Pretty good size room. My biggest complaint is the shower. It's a rain head with limited pressure. It's a tight space and no way to keep water from running out in front of the toilet. More importantly, it is extremely slippery getting in and out.
I had a great stay there. It took a while for the shower to heat up (20-30 mins) and there was construction on several floors and a lot of early morning noise because of it as well as the bar and resturaunt were closed with no heads up while we were booking. They held an extra $120 "in case we went to the bar and charged something to the room" even though the bar was closed? Was a little odd but I'll probably be booking again as the staff at night are super nice and they are doggo friendly.
Ashore was a great experience. Clean, good service and awesome location with beach side service. Edit: Went back the next year and overall cleanliness was.. not great. 4/5 stars only because the service was great and they tried, but management needs to get it together. Clean rooms should be #1 priority. If anything has changed since then, we'd love it give it another shot.
