when you get there you sign papers acknowledging they are not insured, if problems, you can't have a jury trial, have to go for arbitration if problems and can't sue beyond $75K. Those are huge IF they cause a serious problem. I'm not litigous, but med. personell make errors and it could wipe one's savings out, except for insurance. So, that's a very high risk generally if there are med. problems later. (and I realize it's the insurance comp, which have caused drs to have to try alternatives but ..) Dr. Font-Rodriguez just didy second shoulder replacement. First left, now right. He and his entire staff are amazing. Great doctor, surgeon, best bedside manner ever. Great communication and response time. Special thank you to Betty and ALL the staff.
