Let’s start with I love Ford vehicles. I have no issue with them whatsoever. I do have an issue with Folsom Lake Ford however. Specifically, their service department. For context, my wife and I have 2 Ford vehicles. 1 owned and 1 leased. We took our Ford Explorer in for service at the dealership. We purchased a MaxCare warranty through Carmax about 1 year ago and had several service lights appear as well as a faulty trunk latch prompting us to take it to Ford for repair. Went into replace the plastic trim from the Side mirror that fell off. They insisted that i needed to replace the entire mirror assembly because it was damaged. I asked them to show me the damage, they proceeded to point at no damage in the mirror (there was no damage they just wanted to avoid it). Lastly quoted me $2000 to repair it as fords warranty wouldn't approve it so they aren't gonna go through warranty. I went to another dealer, they had it done in a day.
