Excellent dining in Corbin. Very impressive menu and service.
A quaint and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast was very, very, very well done. I am very disappointed. I choose those place because google said it jad the best biscuit and gravy in town. They only serve that on the weekends. I ordered a biscuit, which was not good. Whoever made it used too much oil and it tasted flat. The sausage was tough and very very cooked and the over easy eggs where over hard. I'm so sad and disappointed. Don't order a cooked breakfast on Tuesday.
Just disappointed. We don't live in the area. Every time we come down to visit family, we make an effort to come to Folktale. Historically, we've had great experiences. This time, however, we felt really let down. We ordered coffee and cocoa drinks. The wait for those was not terrible (maybe 8ish minutes- totally reasonable since we ordered 2 espresso based drinks in addition to 3 kids hot chocolates). Great coffee & baked goods. Loved the decor.
Stopped here on our way home to upstate New York. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly. My husband had a scones. He said it was good. I had their special of the day oatmeal. It was probably the best oatmeal I've had at a restaurant. Lots of apples, crunchy granola, pecans and cinnamon. SO delicious! The service was a bit slow, but worth the wait
