The best restaurant
Oh the last time I went a few months ago I was very disappointed. I will not be going back! It was one of my favorite places to eat. They should have just went ahead and closed the downstairs along with the upstairs. Menu was not inviting, and what was up serving a dozen oysters 5 big ones and 7 very small? I don't get it.
Always loved this place for good food and a good time. Great date place. Enjoy!
Used to go there all the time when I lived in Friendswood! Definitely a great place, but I recently visited in the past year or so and seems like the quality went down. I'd still go back though!
Flavorless food, horrendous service and tremendously overpriced. On top of that, gratuity is added to the bill regardless of how I attentive, grease-stained, or bumbling the waiter is. I'd stay away from eating at kemah boardwalk completely, unless you like wasting your money while listening to terrible music eating terrible food
Ghastly experience! – I was alone and ate at the bar. Probably the worst seat in the house. The waiters were coming up to get their drinks and some were standing around doing nothing. They were talking like sailors and one heavy set black waitress was talking about her love life and almost getting arrested because the police had stopped her and she had drugs on her, but luckiely the police didn't search her,...then another waitress was talking about being hung-over ... Not anything I really wanted to hear while eating my din... read more
Miss the old Dutchman... – At one time the Flying Dutchman was a fine dining restaurant. Now, it is an upscale Joe's Crab Shack. The food at Joe's is better. I have been stewing on this for a week. I didn't want to write the review while I was still angry. Unfortunately, I am still angry so,.....It was bad from the moment we walked in. The wait was about an hour. I can forgive that, it was a really busy weekend. I can't forgive poor and rude service. Yes, again, I really miss the old upstairs part of the Dutchman, which is n... read more
do not take anyone there on a first date...if this is your date choice god knows how many other mistakes you will make i went when i was younger and it was nothing like i remembered....go to pappadeaux or red lobster anywhere but here unless you have money to blow
Better Than Landry's! – We were enjoying some great spaghetti and unbelievably good lasagna at The Terrace Cafe, and we asked the owner where we could get good seafood. He recommended Landry's , The Flying Dutchman, or Red Sushi. We went to Landry's the first night and it had horrible service and ok seafood. Then we went to the Flying Dutchman for lunch the next day. The food was actually better than Landry's, but the service was just as bad. We were put on a wait and sat at the bar for a drink and the bartender didn't reall... read more
