One of my favorite breweries in the DMV. Flying Dog Octoberfest is one of my favorite seasonal microbrews of all time. The brewery itself is amazing. It is especially amazing in the summer when they have their summer music series, featuring different musical acts. I was fortunate enough to see Surfer Blood in what could only be described as an epic show.

I visited from out of town (Knoxville,TN) on a service trip in Hagerstown (4-19-2023). I looked this place up on Google maps on my way to the Baltimore Airport. The short of the long is...I called and Lu-Lu(sp) picked up the phone, she was very helpful in my wanting to know if merchandise was available for sale, and it was. I dropped some good money on it and she was SO helpful! To her boss/manager KEEP LU-LU ON THE PAYROLL! I'll be back in two weeks to buy more stuff. Thank you again Lu-Lu for all your help that day!

No tours anymore. At least for the time being. The five stars is for their beers, which have been raising standards for at least two decades. But their website says they no longer do tours or tastings, so as not to compete with the many fine establishments that carry their beers. Fair enough.
