I took my '67 MGB in for major transmission/overdrive work. Over a two month+ period the engine/transmission unit was removed from the car. the transmission and overdrive were completely rebuilt, new clutch and ring gear installed, flywheel resurfaced, and numerous other details addressed. This car is an unmolested original, with only minor surface rust ,a repaint and interior and 92000 Mi. I intend to keep it that way. After a road test I promptly drove the car180 mi. home.
