Steve at Fly HiFi helped me crack the code on an issue way above my pay grade. I added a sub-woofer to my set-up (McIntosh pre-amp and tube amp, and a pair of Klipsch Cornwalls). We both learned the Cornwalls are so insanely efficient that a regular sub would not work - and Steve helped me crack the code on choosing the right Rel HT 1510 for my system. A wonderful shop in beautiful downtown Auburn with loads of cool vintage and new audio equipment, and vinyl. Steve is very knowledgable and helpful. He assisted me in selecting a vintage McIntosh MAC1700 receiver and an Eversolo DMP-A8 Gen 2 streamer/DAC to pair with my Klipsch Cornwall II speakers. The system sounds fantastic and I could not be happier!
We listened to 6 different speaker pairs over 3 hours, with 5 different types I'd music. We live our choice abd totally recommend them to everyone.
I had been shopping around for a new turntable and decided that I wanted to shop local, so I gave Steven at Fly Hifi a shot and was very pleased with the outcome. I bought a new Audio Technica LP8X from him, and he not only beat the big guys' price, but he hooked me up with a vintage Bellari VP 130 tube-style pre-amp from his wide selection of really neat vintage stuff from way back when.
