The food here was really good! Got the coconut cod. I was impressed. Our Waiter was very attentive. Bathrooms were clean too. Love the atmosphere as well. Will come back!
Don’t get the fish! My husband is sick with food poisoning! We visit Floyd’s regularly because it’s my husbands favorite restaurant. Or it was his until yesterday. He ordered the usual, Texas Red Fish Fried with sweet potato fries and I ordered the Salmon Seafood Fondue. My salmon was ok but the Red Fish batter was burnt and so greasy, he had to remove the batter to eat the fish . We told our server but she just smiled and said “ok”. She really didn’t care. Never again.
We decided to try floyds for the 1st time and it was not great, I had the chicken fried steak it was good but the white gravy is weird. Taste more like sweet butter, so I ordered the brown gravy and I dont they brought out this soupy stuff that had way to much salt!!! So ate a dry chicken fried steak , the seafood gumbo was super salty and the shrimp was nasty, my son wanted Mac and cheese I asked if it was Kraft Mac and cheese and was told no so we got it for him , and Kraft Mac and cheese came out . I'm a frequent visitor. Love Floyd's. Sunday, so disappointed. The shrimp were overcooked. The stuffing was not good. The sauce on the redfish was strange and scarce. The fish bite appetizer was so skimpy. Our waitress had no personality :( On my way out, I found out the cook was new. Fire him/her or provide additional training. It will definitely be a long time before I visit again. So disappointing.
We are new to Mont Belvieu and we’re excited to try out a seafood restaurant. We ordered the calamari and buffalo wings for appetizers. While the wings were excellent, the calamari was so tough it was practically inedible. For entree we ordered the salmon and the shrimp platter. The salmon was good although it showed up with broccoli instead of the asparagus that was noted as the side.
