I highly recommend this ER. We had to take our pup here for a thoracocentesis (drain fluid from chest) late in the evening. Our usual place was closed and it was scary taking her somewhere we haven’t been before. Once we got there we were taken care of immediately, everyone we interacted with was so attentive, diligent, and empathetic. We have been here several times and love them, but this last one takes the cake. We will always go to them. We were out of town and our dog sitters took our dog to them out of concern. The whole time they were in communication with both us and the dog sitters so that we were all on the same page. After the initial tests, they put our dog immediately in emergency surgery, calling us from the OR room to keep us updated, saving our girl’s life, and checking in on her once she was home. Very good late night care given by Dr Alec DaPra. Front desk was calm and kind when I came in with my dog who was having trouble breathing. They moved quickly and calmly. They checked in with us often enough that I didn’t feel forgotten and got clear feedback on how my dog was doing. The only criticism I have was the vet tech kept saying he and when I said it’s a she, they replied “ok” and then went back to saying he during discharge. It felt condescending. I took my dog, sandy, in because she was having trouble breathing. The vet, Mr.Cortez, as well as all of the assistants were very very helpful and kind. We had to unexpectedly euthanize our baby, but they couldn't have handled it better. No pushiness, upfront about cost, and gently walked us through all options. The front desk ladies even told me about a FB group to join when I'm ready to look for another dog in need of a home and love when I asked. Highly recommend. I love and miss you already, Sandy. This place is simply fantastic and goes above and beyond in all respects. Dr Connor and Dr Hattaway kept us informed and showed so much compassion for our little fellow, Happy. This facility is just state of the art with everything you'd need. Made visiting very easy and comfortable for both our pet and us.
