The Place is great for a day trip to Carlsbad Oceanside area during month of April towards mid May and has discount for military and senior and free parking. Make sure bring sunglasses, sunscreen, hats and water and good walking shoes if your planning to walk around and not ride the trucks.
My husband and I visited yesterday. We loved it. Our favorite spot was the flag. As we was walking up to the flag there were 3 veterans saluting and than bowed their heads and prayed. We stopped and prayed for all military men and woman past and present. Thank you for such an awesome sight.
