Wonderful desserts – The raisin nut and sourdough rolls are to die for. They were so full of flavor and the texture was beyond compare. The cookies were masterfully done. My grilled chicken sandwich was fabulous. We (2) were lucky to find a seat quickly but some more unfortunate souls stood around eating their pastries standing up. The counter service was so hectic. Around the corner from St. Elsewhere Hospital – Went on a Sunday afternoon it was busy but we managed to get seating for 4. The food was delicious the Iced Tea was a a strong brew (just like I like it!) So close, but so far from being ideal – Bland sandwiches, rude workers, oh Flour! Why must these keep me from loving you? Maybe it's your Garden of Eden-esque pricing for sandwiches sans sides. C'mon! At least they give a slice of tomato. I really want to like you. Oh, I do. Yummy in my tummy – Flour lived up to all it's hype! The lamb sandwich was delicious, and everything else on the menu looked equally yummy. I also tried 10 different desserts, and they were all wonderful. The service was quick and friendly. I highly recommend heading down to the South End to try Flour.
I LOVE this place! – My husband and I used to live 2 blocks from Flour. Somehow we just couldn't stay away. Flour makes the best desserts that I have ever had, period. They are not the frech type of fluffy desserts that you find in other bakeries. They are the best cakes, cookies, etc that seem like they must have been old secret family recipes that have been closely guarded for years. Delicious! – Delicious baked goods and rich sweets! The sandwiches at lunch are great and featured on exquisite focaccia. The service isn't rude, but they don't go out of their way to be friendly either... Space is somewhat limited, many patrons share tables, but that adds to the cozy ambience. Overall, I recommend a quick jaunt to South End and indulge yourself to some treats!
Amazing – Flour takes all the things you loved when you were young (pop-tarts, oreos, etc) and make their own gourmet renditions. Even their sandwiches are perfected, down to the marinated tomatos and onions. This place is great.
