I've never been so embarrassed in my life! I took my family who is visiting here from Albuquerque to go try Florio's pizza. As soon as we got there to order, the lady at the counter (red hair) was extremely rude. We got there well before (30 minutes) closing time, and she kept rushing us to finish eating! It wasn't even closing time, and she started picking up all the spices and cheese from our table. I don't care how good the pizza is, that was the worst customer service, and I will NEVER be back!!
I have been eating Florio’s pizzas 🍕 for over 35 years and I will not eat any other. They have a special receipt for their dough and the cheese is out of this world. Their crust is sooo good I eat the whole slice. My favorite pizza is the Florio’s special. Nice and crispy. They had a pizza chef come from Italy 🇮🇹 when they first started in New Jersey. The best pizza in San Antonio, hands down. When I'm near Alamo Heights, this is my go to restaurant for a quick snack or a whole pie. The owner and staff are great people and very accommodating. 5� plus!

My grandson was over and dinner time came around. I ask him if he’d like a pizza. “wow Grandma! Sure I’d like pizza! Where are you going to get it from? Papa Johns? Pizza Hut?” I say, oh no, we don’t get pizza at those places. We get real pizza from Florio’s. Later, after his first mouthful he says, “Grandma, this is the best pizza I have ever had!” Yep. It is.
