Kennard, it opened its doors in early 1927. It is a 19-story hotel that is a perfect blend of yesteryear charm and modern-day comfort. Equipped with top amenities, it offers accommodations with excellent dining. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 12, 1996.

This is definitely a historic hotel from the moment you enter to the elevators. Its close to lots of things as well. The rooms are very nice, beds are comfy, breakfast not too good in my opinion. Everyone here was very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. Nick checked my family and I in and he was amazing! Sweet, respectful and professional. He even shared a few places we should try. Kevin! To begin i called hotel this 10 am and around 1 and 2 pm no one ever picked up. I also sent a message in kipsu and the chat asking for a upgrade and see what my options were as of 12 am i still never got a response back from anyone at the front desk. Didn’t get pleasant greeting or welcome to the property. Next there is three elevators only one is working so the line was extremely long for the elevator. Got to the hotel- our room was warm and blowing out air rather than cold air from the vents, the room was nice and good size comfortable beds, but we had to switch rooms due to the AC not working, then the new room we were on a corner and you could hear traffic honking all night long- felt like the windows were open. My last complaint is the elevators- it took 20 minutes every time we pressed the button to get on an elevator. Super disappointing . Very walkable.
Helping my son pack up his apartment and needed a hotel for a few days. This hotel while charming in some respects there are issues. The room we were giving had a huge part of the carpet very wet and I couldn’t wear my socks as they got wet every time I walked around my bed. The air we set at the lowest 60 but it never reached that and was warm enough we couldn’t use any of the bedding when we went to bed.
