Our stay at Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown was extremely disappointing. We reserved an ADA-accessible room, but the toilet repeatedly failed during our stay. Although maintenance temporarily repaired it, the problem continued, leaving us without confidence that the room was functional. We had to spend valuable vacation time dealing with maintenance issues and, at one point, leave our room to find another restroom during an urgent situation. My husband and I just stayed here for the 4th of July and had an incredible experience! This hotel is updated and modern in the rooms, while still preserving a lot of the historical and original pieces of the hotel in main areas! The rooms are clean, the staff is SO kind! (Abu at the front desk has to be one of the most caring hotel staff members we have ever met and we travel A LOT). If you are on business travel and book on a government rate, they will charge you a $30 daily destination fee that should NOT be charged to those on a gov rate. Be vary wary of this and try to ask upon check in and not check out. And out of caution do not use the $15 daily bev/ food credit, as they’ll charge you your Cass Street or The Dan fee charge and then the $30 destination fee on top of it They’re stating they’re going through a new system and refunds are taking longer than normal. I had the opportunity to visit Hotel Flor while attending a networking event, and I was truly impressed. The attention to detail throughout the property and the rich history of the hotel really make it stand out. It’s a beautiful space with plenty of character and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re visiting Tampa or looking for a unique place to stop by, Hotel Flor is definitely worth checking out. I look forward to coming back again soon!
