I found an abandon baby mockingbird on my job very early in the morning, and I took it to the wildlife hospital after they opened. They took in the baby bird, and I hope it was returned safely to the wild. While I do appreciate the work being done here, I am very disappointed with the way good people are treated. I would expect a facility like this to know the laws regarding wild animals and which ones a person can keep as a pet, which ones require a special permit or license and which ones don’t.
