I was referred to Dr Small at FOI by a surgeon that used to work there. I have lower back issues that have gotten much worse and require surgery, after doing therapy several times, injections, ablations, acupuncture and chiropractic, every doctor I have seen says I need surgery as soon as possible to alleviate the pain. I made an appointment with Christian Cruz who is Dr. Smalls Nurse Practitioner, after reviewing my MRI, CT scan and x rays he also determined that I needed surgery. He did however say I needed together an ... read more

A decent, ethical surgeon must be able to thoroughly provide realistic expectations, discuss risks, and must be able to assist you through any complications. Palumbo does none of these things. Instead he over promises benefits, does not explain risks, and refuses to see his patients once the surgery is done. My friend received a partial knee implant from Dr. Brian Palumbo. He pushed the partial knee implant like it was a miracle cure. He declared it better than the total knee implant. He said not only do you heal much faster... read more

While their doctors seem very good, their billing department needs a complete overhaul. We were completely blindsided by over $3000 in bills that insurance declined. Had they informed us that insurance would not cover the costs, we would have handled things very differently. They used to be our go-to for anything orthopeadic. I can't afford their lack of follow through regarding insurance, though.

The Brandon facility and staff were wonderful. However, the physicians assistant made an incorrect diagnosis. I found this out after visiting my podiatrist for a follow up two weeks later. I actually had strained tendons, not a broken foot as the physicians assisteant stated. This incorrect diagnosis affected my both physically (I was in a walking boot for two weeks and should not have been) and financially (I purchased mobility equipment that I did not need).

This place is laughably rediculous.... It is so bad. They want me here early yet they run late, very late. I ask for a copy of my xray, which were done here, and I have to fill out a form and wait 3 to 5 days before they will get back to me. I emailed the email address on their card but the email address is no good! This is just too rediculous.....I got my copay reversed and left the building. Won't waste anymore of my time there.

AWFUL TREATMENT WHEN I NEEDED IT THE MOST I was scheduled to have an inpatient spinal fusion and discectomy surgery performed by Dr Armaghani. I went to the hospital for some pre admit testing and was told my surgery was cancelled a few days earlier because his admin assistant Vanessa Murgasen was calling the wrong phone number when trying to reach me. I immediately called the Dr's office (on a Friday during business hours) but Vanessa was taking a vacation day so I was told to wait until Monday. When I spoke to Vanessa... read more

Had to put down an $840 "deposit" prior to test being performed. Insurance says my portion is a little more than half that. It's been 6 weeks since test was done. Now I'm told it takes 6-8 MORE WEEKS to issue a refund on my credit card! Running a credit on a card takes less than 10 minutes to do. Also, at my office visits with the neurosurgeon I was asked to pay the EXACT amount insurance said I was to pay. So why is one office accurate and another overcharging!!! And if you don't check to see if you overpaid and request a r... read more
