My husband had a scheduled endoscopy-the office called last week to let us know we were all set and what our copay was and that it would be due at check in…we show up on time for the procedure only to find out the office never completed the pre-authorization from the insurance company. For two years they haven't been able to diagnose me than sent me to one of their vascular doctor's who pawned me off to another surgeon and I feel like I'm back where I started
I was initially upset that I would have to physically go into the office to make an appointment for colonoscopy but Jennifer the scheduler was great. I needed an earlier appointment date an she went above and beyond to accommodate me.
I tried to get an appointment and was told that an appointment couldn't be scheduled until a transfer form was received from my PCP. I thought the patient gets to decide what doctor he/she wants to see, not the other way around.
