I’ve had an extremely frustrating experience with Florida Medical Clinic. I was scheduled to see Stephanie Hampton, the nurse practitioner, but she has canceled on me four separate times. Each time this happens, I’m forced to wait another three to four months just to get rescheduled. What makes this even worse is that I’ve repeatedly asked if I could see a different provider, and I’ve been told no, that I can only see her. This office (Internal Medicine) has the most incompetent staff I have ever experienced. It took me 4 phone calls before they got an RX correct and the only way it was corrected is because I went in person to complain. Additionally, I went in for a long-awaited appt. I had scheduled months before and when I got to the office the front desk staff told me they had called me previously to tell me the doctor wouldn't be there on that day. Flat out lie! My family and I recently switched to Florida Medical Centers and are very pleased with the facilities and staff. I visit several locations for PCP, Endo, Women's care, and Dermatology. Doctors, nurses, and staff are welcoming, thoughtful, and listen to our needs. A billing issue that should've been handled by the billing department and my insurance company, is the only problem I've had.
Was told that they don’t know what the price would be for an allergy panel which I’m pretty sure is illegal ( section 395.301); next thing is a $1000 bill in the mail…surprise.
I was refused medical treatment/diagnosis due to stuffy nose and phlegm. Another problem is also occurring that could lead to permeant damage if not treated soon. Sadly they denied me of a human right. This is where we are folks. We have weak, frail medical staff who refuse to live by the oath they took as medical staff. Doctors who only see healthy patients... That's universal healthcare working for the people. Pretty soon no one will be accountable.
