FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING SCHEDULING FAILURES AND PATIENT CARE I am writing to express my serious dissatisfaction with my recent experience trying to schedule my mammogram and/or ultrasound with FCS. During breast cancer awareness month, I found it particularly disturbing that obtaining these important tests became such an ordeal. If I could give this location 0 star I would. I called this location possibly 20 times and no one is picking up or the calls are dropping. I'm a first time patient in need of treatment. A lady spoke to me twice but never returned my call or she would disconnect the call purposely. *Update 10/6/26* I was finally able to get through and are now seeing doctors and getting treatments. Overall, the experience has been made up after not getting through at all.
I am incredibly appalled with the scheduling department at the Florida Cancer Specialists Lake Worth/Palm Springs location. While I'm not sure if the individual locations have their own schedulers, it is totally unacceptable to treat patients the way that I have been treated recently. It was never like this before! I brought my mom to see APRN Smyrne Balan-Louis, and she was absolutely wonderful. She is very kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She never made my mom feel rushed and took the time to listen carefully and explain everything in a calm and compassionate way. She has a very caring presence that made the appointment feel much less stressful for my mom. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about her patients and wants them to feel comfortable and supported.
