Chain electric is replacing some telephone poles and an area they drove over ended up springing the water leak. I spoke with Jose at Phelps and he sent out Bernie, Juan and Rennee to fix it. They came out that morning and did an awesome job. We are so thankful for the four people that helped us with this situation. Excellent service and people.
0/0 if I had the option to go anywhere else I would. But monopolies still are legal in small towns.If you have a cosigner you better pray that FELPS didn't decide their account was going to be split onto a new account instead of transferring it causing them to not have the tenure required to help you out. They only care about charging as much as possible to get service. $50 "cut in fee" for an account transfer. When called out on it they changed it to a "transfer fee" go figure. Phelps Electric Company was outstanding! They came out to check our transformer during the summer when we were having electrical issues, and their team was extremely professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. 1 star If I could give zero stars, I would. FELPS claims to support sustainability, yet their solar policy does the exact opposite. They charge full retail rates for power you use, but only credit you a fraction of that—around 5 cents per kWh—for the energy you send back to the grid. Even worse, they charge extra monthly fees just for having solar installed. That means solar customers can give more power to FELPS than they use, and still owe money.
