VERY DISAPPOINTING lunch experience. Extremely overpriced for ridiculously skimpy portions, and the food was cold! $20 cocktail in the skinniest flute possible, "For The Table" Tomato Burrata had 2 small pieces of yellow tomato and maybe 3 grape tomatoes...to share!!! Laughable!!!
I was really looking forward to this Sunday brunch, as this was the last activity we were doing before leaving Newport, but unfortunately I left very disappointed and did not feel like a respected patron at this restaurant. When we came up to the hostess stand, the hostess who greeted us had a very rude and snarky attitude. July 2026: terrific meal. I really enjoyed duck with apple sauce. Guspacio soup was flavorful. I loved sitting by a large open window, with ocean air coming but still having the shade of being inside. A very pleasant dinner. October 2025: We had an excellent dinner here. Lobster tail appetizer was served on ice with a cocktail sauce. A nice combo! Mushroom soup was flavorful. July 2026: Had the whole dover sole, supurb. Oct 2025: Had oysters, mushroom soup and the lemon sole. The oysters were fine but they only had a single variety. The mushroom soup was excellent, very flavorful. I also thought the sole was first rate.
We stopped by around 4:00 p.m. to meet friends who had taken the boat taxi over from Castle Hill, where they were staying. Since it was well before dinner service, we were surprised that the manager would not allow my husband or my brother-in-law to come in for an early drink because they were wearing sandals and did not have collared shirts.
