Best food for your buck! – I am amazed that some people would write bad reviews about this place. First of all this is not fine dining but is a neighborhood spot that does a hell of a job when it comes to cooking great. The service is just as good as any other place. BEST FRIED RICE IN TOWN/ EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE – This is the perfect place to eat. Whether you're coming alone or with family. The food is absolutely delicious; and service is excellent!! But don't take my word for it. Come and experience it yourself.
try the lomo saltado! – i love Flor de Mayo! i have recommended this spot to many friends i know. I am peruvian so i am familiar with their dishes & i have to say the "lomo saltado" is by far the best, you just have to try it. don't forget the sangria. everyone i have sent there have nothing but great things to say about it. it's very crowded so expect to wait but it's completely worth it. the service is quick and the pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food you get. definitely yummy food. enjoy =]
Spanish and Chinese! Wow... – This place has Spanish and Chinese food, interesting combo, but it works! It is prety busy on the weekends.
Sooo tasty!!!! – I went to this place last night not knowing what to expect. What we got, was seriously delicious food. This is not a romantic spot, or the place to go when you need to impress... There is no ambience or decor to speak of, but the tastiness is overflowing. We ordered the lomo saltado, the pork chops and some sweet plaintains to share. All of it was delicious, but the lomo saltado was outstanding, by far the best I have ever had. Go hungry.
Best Peruvian food in the city – It's not fine dining but it's quality food. And it's better than the Peruvian place in the E. Village, hands down. Food is delicious and excellent drinks to boot. This place is open late and has a following, so either make reservations or show up after everyone else does (which is what i always do). Satisfying – I went to the restaurant for a birthday dinner and I can't complain. The menu offers a wide variey of foods. I tried the muscles for an appetizer and it was great but I do have one complain; there was a bit too much lime juice. I also had the roasted chicken and it was NOT dry at all; very juicy. Overall the food was excellent. Big portions and it hits the spot.
