Scheduled my first ever service appointment and got there to be told, “you’re going to have to pay $80 because Hyundai did away with free maintenance on 2026 models.” So I left and called the store where I purchased my car and they told me I do in fact have free maintenance up to 36,000 miles or by a certain date; whichever comes first. Ridiculous….how can you tell people that without first doing your research? I’d rather take a drive to Springfield or somewhere with people more knowledgeable with their operating systems.
I’m extremely disappointed with my experience here. This all started because of a motor that Hyundai recalled — yet I still had to pay out of pocket because it was not covered under warranty. What should have been a straightforward repair turned into a stressful and frustrating situation. After paying thousands of dollars for the work, my vehicle was returned with damage to the hood/body that was not present before service.
