Best Service & Steaks in Town – Was in last week. Sam Governale and his crew treated us like William & Kate. I was amazed at how Sam was all over the place at one time. He didn't miss a thing and made sure his customers were being attended to. Everything was perfect. The steaks were fantastics, service was friendly, courtious, consistent, and knowledgable of the wine lists and the menu. great steaks! – My wife and i have been going to flemings in the domain since the first week it opened. sometimes the steaks are slow to arrive at the table, but it is always worth the wait. plainly put, the steaks just have a great flavor to them. always perfectly cooked. the wine list is extensive and very good. sides are a bit average. semi-romantic setting, a bit noisy from time to time. almost a 5 star joint, i just ding for occasional long cooking time for the steaks and noise level.
One out of four aren't good odds... – Look, I almost never go out for steak because steak is something I can do well at home. But Flemings, in my experience, is marginally better than the other chains in the high-price steakhouse category so I elected to go along with the crowd. Service, food and ambiance all top shelf! – After reading the review of Megloomis 10/10/10, we made a reservation for an early Sunday evening requesting a "private, romantic boot" and were not disappointed and had a very similar experience to the reviewer. Very pricey, plan on paying $$$ – It was very expensive. I went with a group of 8 people total. The cheapest entree was $26 and that was the chicken. You don't get sides with your food you have to pay extra for that. Cheapest sides were anywhere from $6.50-$9.00 on top of the $26. I never got asked what I wanted to drink. ABOUT AS GOOD AS IT GETS - MAN, WHAT A RIBEYE! – Tonight I had a wonderful dinner at Flemings from beginning to end, it was perfection. You can't beat the service and Flemings makes you feel very special. You get more than what you pay for at Flemings which is a rarity these days. I highly recommend this establishment for their personal service and impeccable food. Thank you Flemings, you're more than alright in my book. See you again real soon. Oh and one more thing, the general manager is a real class act! Bravo!
Disappointing – My husband and I rarely go to steakhouses, but every now and then is OK. Usually we visit Sullivans (very good) and Capital Grille (also good); this time we thought we'd try Flemings. While the service staff is very attentive (earning the two stars), the food was surprisingly lackluster. We started with the calamari, which was quite good. Fantastic Steakhouse! – For me the very best steakhouse dining experience in Houston.... Excellent service - friendly and attentive staff from the front door through the bar and waiting staff at your table.... Would recommend this place - and the bone-on rib eye - to anyone!!!
Disappointed – I had never dined at Fleming's so when I got a gift card in the mail for $50 off my husband & I decided to try it. The Calamari had a good flavor but was soggy and chewy. We didn't eat much of it. The Salmon and Chipotle Mac & Cheese was disappointing too. Everything seemed to lack any distinctive flavor. We found it all too bland for our taste.
