seriously cannot say enough good things about Austin at Flatspin Motorsports. He just finished installing a brand new engine block in my 2004 Forester, along with reworked heads and all the supporting work, and the entire experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish. I’ve been in the automotive community for over 15 years, and I’ve worked with a lot of shops and people along the way. Most do good, honest work, but my experience with Austin and Anthony at Flatspin Motorsports was on a completely different level. Was having a boost leak that I couldnt track down. Austin found it and fixed it, no issue. He’s knowledgeable, honest, speedy, and it doesnt hurt that he’s a good person. Got it handled quickly. Tried to tip him and he turned it down! How many times does that happen? Will continue to drive from crestview anytime I need a shop for a job. Btw the shop is on one half of the building currently. Dont pass it!
This dude is supposed to be THE Subaru guy. Sad to say I don’t think that’s true. Tried to get a swap done, said he could do it, months later said he couldn’t. That’s fine. Got the swap done somewhere else locally, so I called about tuning. Left a message and still no call back. I guess he’d rather do smaller jobs for quick turn around. Disappointed to say the least. He’s almost impossible to get ahold of and quick to get off the phone saying “I’ll call ya back tomorrow” then waiting 3 weeks to call him back……
