Flat River has been my horse vet since I moved to Durham in 2000. You can't ask for better down-to-earth care delivered with compassion. I met Emily for the first time today when Dancer (aka Drama King) got loose and ended up with a small puncture wound. Dance thought the wound qualified for 3-legged lameness. *rolleyes*. Emily did a great job checking him out, cleaning the would and setting my mind at ease. Thanks Doc Heron and Emily!!

Flat River's staff is phenomenal!! very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. Tammy is awesome and Dr. Heron and Dr. Seals is compassionate and very skilled vets.
I've known Dr. Heron for decades and he's saved the lives of several horses here on our farm. He and his staff are so competent, knowledgeable, and caring. He can troubleshoot by seeing something in what appears to be a minor condition and by taking preventitive steps, a life can be saved. The hospital is immaculate. Can't imagine life without Flat River Vet.
